Analyze the client's physical environment
For onsite solar, an electrical analysis and site survey must be conducted.
For offsite solar, an energy analysis must be conducted.
For an existing project, ask the client to fill out the project intake form.
Develop a business case
For onsite solar, determine the size, configuration, and location of a solar PV system and PPA offering that will achieve the client’s goals. There may be more than one option.

For project financing, determine if a business case can be made to justify financing the project, based on the information provided by the client.
Communicate possible solutions with the client
Meet with client, present one or more possible solutions, and discuss how to address the client’s goals with them.
Provide the client with the necessary tools and guidance to enable them to choose the best solution.
Negotiate a business transaction with the client
Meet with the client and solidify a contract that will be mutually agreeable to both parties.
Commit to move onto the next stages of project execution.
